The Positive Leadership Imperative:
Women leader poised to drive positive systematic change at work

In March 2021, Gallup reported what they call the “Wellbeing-Engagement Paradox.” Typically, there’s a link between employee engagement and wellbeing. The higher the engagement, the higher the well-being. When both work together, they are a super-charger for a thriving, productive workplace.

But, here’s the paradox: In 2020, employee engagement and wellbeing became disconnected from each other and went their own ways. This means employees are engaged in their work but their wellbeing is tanking. The stress of fear, isolation and grief is taking its toll.

Gallup predicts massive burnout! Forward-facing leaders understand the need to address employees’ emotional well-being needs at work to mitigate the looming negative impacts.
